Little Parks introduces a contemporary four-bedroom home on land currently occupied by a garage and workshop. The design responds to the rural character of Ethnam Lane while introducing a modern architectural form. The building is arranged as two pitched-roof volumes connected by a lower central section, helping reduce the perceived scale and allowing the house to sit comfortably within the landscape.
The scheme takes advantage of the site’s sloping terrain by partially embedding the building into the ground, minimising its visual impact while maintaining views across the surrounding countryside. Careful consideration has been given to privacy and neighbouring properties through the positioning of windows, screening elements and staggered building forms.
Sustainable design strategies include photovoltaic panels, a green roof, an air source heat pump and electric vehicle charging, alongside landscape enhancements that improve biodiversity across the site.
