Great Owl forms the southernmost home within Castlemaine Oast, a converted listed agricultural building set within the countryside just outside Horsmonden. The property occupies part of the historic oast structure, with its distinctive tiled roofs and traditional Kent cowls giving the building its recognisable character.
Our work focused on carefully reworking the internal layout to improve how the home connects to the garden and to bring more natural light into the living spaces. The kitchen and dining areas were reorganised to create a more open arrangement, while a new double-height steel-framed window introduces views of the garden and floods the space with daylight.
