Baldock Road reimagines a detached family home in Wadhurst through the addition of a contemporary rear extension designed to create a brighter and more connected living environment. The original rear layout felt enclosed and disconnected from the garden, leading the project to focus on opening the house towards the landscape.

A single-storey extension forms a generous open-plan kitchen and dining space with large bi-folding doors and rooflights bringing natural light deep into the home. Horizontal larch rainscreen cladding gives the extension a clean contemporary character while complementing the existing house.
