Our oak framed design makes for a bright kitchen despite being north facing, and creates a stunning courtyard for al-fresco dining.
The original rear layout felt enclosed and disconnected from the garden, leading the project to focus on opening the house towards the landscape.
Our proposal replaces this later addition with a carefully designed single-storey extension that opens the home towards the water and countryside beyond.

The extension also forms a sheltered courtyard, offering a private spot for outdoor dining and strengthening the relationship between the house and its landscape.
Horizontal larch rainscreen cladding gives the extension a clean contemporary character while complementing the existing house.
