Coppers is the redevelopment of a large 1960s chalet-style bungalow set within a generous plot on Coppers Lane in Matfield. Over time the original timber-framed house had deteriorated and no longer suited the way the owners wanted to live, prompting a complete rethinking of the site.
The scheme delivers one four-bedroom and one five-bedroom home, designed to accommodate multi-generational living for the same family. The houses are carefully positioned within the plot to retain mature trees, preserve the existing access and maintain the established character of the lane.
Each home is arranged to feel bright and welcoming, with generous living spaces and large openings that frame views towards the surrounding countryside. Oak cladding, local brick and clay roof tiles give the houses a warmth that reflects the rural character of Matfield while introducing a confident contemporary layer.
